Journal Update

Journal Entry: Wed May 21, 2008, 8:10 PM
  • Mood: Sociable
  • Listening to: Ian Van Dahl - Castles in the Sky
  • Reading: The Magician's Nephew
  • Watching: Concrete Canvas
  • Playing: Paper Mario: 1000 Years Door
I really need something new here, the last entry was unnecessarily outdated.

I'm in a bit of an art slump at the moment. I mean I have stuff to submit, like old chibi junk, but I'm getting tired of them. They seem sorta redundant and unoriginal. I need something new and fresh... I'm working on it... sure... _._

New Journal... Zelda PH ftw

lol...so it hasn't even been a year.. and I'm updating my journal. If you know me well (I'm sure that's not a great number of you =P ) you'll be right to assume that I'm about to rant about a new zelda game :D

So... Zelda Phantom hourglass is awesooommmmeeee!! I love the way it utilizes every part of the ds! I'm only up to the third dungeon, and so far I've been more impressed with it then TP =P (Feel free to comment on anything before that point in the game) I'm really excited to see how the game will play out... I won't put any spoilers here.. and hopefully you won't either... please? ^^;

Ah...in other news... I've started college. I don't feel any different. High school was like a smack in the face for me, but college actually feels pretty normal. Plus, the classes and professors are a lot more interesting.

Also... I can't seem to get myself to draw anything coherent (under the hylianmage definition). I don't know if you'd call this an art block but I'm really lacking inspiration for art... Hopefully I'll get over it... but it's really been awhile... =[

And so there was Zelda...

Yes, I did get wii and Zelda on 19th! And I'm playing it now, and zomg, IT IS AWESOME... maybe I'm a little bias but I can't help loving it! I probably won't be around for a while for several reasons:
1. Zelda
2. Need to work on my portfolio
3. Zelda
4. I have lotsa projects and school work
5. I'm gonna avoid as much spoilers as possbiel (meaning, I won't be checking any messages of deviations.)
6. Zelda

So... I'll try and see how long that'll last. Perhaps I'm come by and rant about the game a bit later :) And... thankfully none of my comic nightmares actually came true... I got it only after 16 hours in line :XD:

So it's November... you know what that means... ;D

Totally Done!

Yes, school's finally, totally, completely finished for the summer! Why do I feel like everyone else's ended like months ago, though? ('cause it did :XD: )

This summer I might actually be doing something productive for a change, though . I got into a 4 week summer art program at Cooper Union, which i'm really thrilled about. Putting together a portfolio with like 2-3 weeks notice was sorta hectic. I had to use mostly old pieces that I'd done months back. I think if I had known earlier I could have done new ones. Unfortunately I only had time to do one. (They had to be still lifes or drawings from observation XP ).
Going through the portfolio review itself wasn't exactly fun either... there was like a ton of people there... all applying... all very good... And with a very limited number of seats in the program, it was somewhat overwhelming... thankfully I got there pretty early and was one of the first to get interviewed... so I was able to high-tail it out of there really fast.

Haha... I dunno why I'm talking about this now... the interview was in May... :XD: I do keep my acceptence letter on desk, smack in front of me, where I can make sure that it never leaves my sight, though... =P
